Eric Stachecki

Eric Stachecki is a Partner at Dentons in Montréal, specializing in Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law. He represents debtor companies, secured creditors, and court‑appointed officers in proceedings under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA) across a broad range of industries, including financial services, real estate, and manufacturing.

Eric has been involved in numerous significant restructuring matters, including representing multiple creditors in the Groupe Atallah Inc. (SSENSE) CCAA proceeding; advising the CCAA‑appointed monitor in the Pride Group Holdings Inc. restructuring; representing the monitor in the Batteries Northvolt North America Inc. CCAA proceeding; and representing secured lenders with claims exceeding CA$260 million in the Groupe Huot receivership, leading to the sale of a dozen residential rental properties. He also acted for secured lenders in the Groupe Sélection Inc. CCAA proceeding with claims exceeding CA$210 million, and represented the purchaser in the sale of principal assets of IA Paladin Inc. He maintains a commercial litigation practice, representing clients in high‑stakes contractual disputes before courts at all levels.
