Harkirat Teja

Harkirat Teja is a Senior Associate in Dentons' Trusts, Estates and Wealth Preservation group, based in the Edmonton office, practicing in Wills and Trusts. Her practice focuses primarily on estate planning, estate administration, estate litigation, guardianships, and trusteeships, with significant experience in drafting wills, powers of attorney, and personal directives.

Ms. Teja regularly helps clients obtain Grants of Probate and Grants of Administration and advises executors on estate administration matters. She also focuses on estate litigation, including contested wills, capacity issues, undue influence, joint ownership disputes, beneficiary designation issues, and estate accounting matters. She has extensive experience in adult guardianship and trusteeship matters and litigation, including contested matters involving trustee accounting and challenges by proposed represented adults or their family members.

She holds a B.A. LL.B (Hons.) from Guru Nanak Dev University (2009) and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association, and is a Diploma Student of The Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners. She serves as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of Adaptabilities.
