Kim D. Wakefield, KC

Kim D. Wakefield, KC is a Senior Counsel in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group at Dentons' Edmonton office, focusing on civil litigation, administrative and regulatory law.

He represents clients across a wide range of matters including health, intellectual property, real property, municipal planning, expropriation, commercial disputes, construction and professional liability. He appears before all levels of courts in Alberta and Canada, including the Court of King's Bench of Alberta, the Court of Appeal of Alberta, the Federal Court of Canada and the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as numerous administrative tribunals including the Alberta Utilities Commission, the Alberta Human Rights Commission, the Surface Rights Board, and various professional discipline tribunals. He also acts as counsel in arbitration proceedings and on judicial review applications from these tribunals.

Kim holds a B.A. (Gold Medal) from the University of Alberta (1969), an M.A. from Queen's University (1972), an LL.B. from McGill University (1975), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Alberta (1999).
