Nathalie Durocher

Nathalie Durocher is a Partner in the Insurance group of Dentons' Montréal office, specialising in Insurance Law. She is a trusted advisor to insurance companies, insurance brokers and financial institutions, with deep expertise in insurance law, professional liability and regulatory compliance.

Nathalie assists clients with the registration of firms (insurers, brokers, MGAs), regulatory compliance reviews, insurance product development, and licensing with regulatory authorities across Canada. She also advises on transactions involving insurance firms, brokers, MGAs and IGAs. She is a recognised opinion leader in the field of internet-based insurance sales and alternative distribution methods, with in-depth knowledge of the legislative and regulatory framework applicable to the sale of insurance products and financial services. She provides opinions on damage insurance, professional liability, construction, financial services, pollution and personal insurance coverage, as well as on the legality and compliance of distribution networks.

Nathalie acts for insurers and insureds in liability claims, including professional liability and construction disputes, and advises on insurance contracts involving property damage, CGL, E&O, financial risk, construction, aviation, cyber risk, life and disability. She holds an LL.B. from the Université de Montréal (2007).
