Rajat Beniwal

Rajat Beniwal is an Associate in the Regulatory group in Dentons' Toronto office. His practice focuses on International Trade Law.

His practice covers a broad range of international trade law matters, including Canadian customs law, trade remedies such as anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations, tariffs, trade compliance verifications, economic sanctions, anti-money laundering and anti-corruption laws, forced labour and other legal and regulatory issues arising in cross-border trade.

Before joining Dentons, he articled at another national law firm in its International Trade and Investment group in Toronto. He is also licensed to practise law in India, where he clerked at the Rajasthan High Court and practised at a national law firm. In addition, he completed a year-long secondment with Amazon India, where he worked on commercial law, product liability and regulatory law matters.

He holds an LLB from the University of Delhi, Faculty of Law (2018) and a B.Com (Hons.) from Shri Ram College of Commerce (2015). He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Bar Council of India and the South Asian Bar Association.
