Robert Quon

Robert Quon is a Partner leading the Vancouver Corporate/Commercial group and the Aviation and Aerospace sector at Dentons. He advises on corporate and commercial transactions, private M&A, reorganizations, and strategic business investments, with a particular focus on the aviation industry.

He provides legal guidance to air carriers on Transport Canada and Canadian Transportation Agency matters, including air transport agreements, licensing, tariffs, code-sharing, and leasing. He also advises on operational issues such as competition, investment, price advertising, and contracting with airport authorities and ground handlers. His experience includes the purchase and sale of aircraft, acquisition of maintenance operations, and compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations and security requirements. He has represented clients in cross-border aviation transactions involving Canada, the US, Mexico, and Chile, and has advised Transport Canada on the public interest assessment of the proposed acquisition of Air Transat by Air Canada.

Robert holds an LL.B from the University of British Columbia (1991), and an LL.B and MBA jointly obtained from McGill University and the Stockholm School of Economics (1989).
