Robin Longe

Robin Longe is a Partner in Dentons' Vancouver office and a co-leader of Dentons' Canadian Mining Practice, specialising in Mining Law. With over 20 years of experience, he is a natural resources lawyer who assists clients on complex matters involving mining, forestry, environmental and aboriginal law.

Robin has extensive experience in corporate arrangements in the mining and forestry sectors, including significant transactions in Canada and abroad involving the purchase and sale of mining and timber rights, mines, mills and related infrastructure. He regularly negotiates and advises on option, joint venture, royalty and offtake agreements, and has deep expertise negotiating with Aboriginal groups on impact and benefit agreements, negotiation protocols and limited partnerships. Notable representations include advising Sojitz Corporation on the Kamistiatusset iron-ore project, representing the Province of British Columbia in its historic tripartite settlement with Taseko Mines, and representing the Province in its Implementation Agreement with Blueberry River First Nations establishing a $200-million land restoration fund.

Robin holds a J.D. from the University of Toronto (2005) and a B.Sc. from the University of British Columbia (1996).

He is recognised by Chambers Canada for Agribusiness – Forestry and in The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory for Corporate Mid-Market, and is a Thomson Reuters Stand-out Lawyer.
