Simmy Sahdra

Simmy Sahdra is a Partner in the Employment & Labour group in Dentons' Toronto office, specialising in Employment Law. She provides strategic labour and employment advice and representation to clients of all sizes, including multinational corporations, mid-market businesses, start-ups and not-for-profit organizations across various industries.

Simmy delivers clear, practical advice in all areas of labour and employment law, including worker classification, employment standards compliance, hiring practices, contract drafting, workplace policy development, termination, accommodation, human rights, accessibility compliance, workers' compensation, union certification, collective agreement interpretation, workplace investigations, and restrictive covenants enforcement. She routinely represents management in employment standards claims, labour claims, wrongful dismissal litigation, labour arbitrations, occupational health and safety claims, and human rights litigation before the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal and the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal. She also acts as lead labour and employment counsel on corporate transactions.

Simmy holds a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University (2017), an M.A. from York University (2013), and a B.A. from Queen's University (2012).
