Zach Seymour

Zach Seymour is a Partner in Dentons' Construction, Infrastructure and PPP and Litigation and Dispute Resolution groups, based in Vancouver and Calgary, with a practice focused on construction disputes and infrastructure projects.

He represents and advises clients involved in the development of infrastructure, industrial and commercial projects, including wastewater treatment facilities, LRT lines, power plants, energy infrastructure and commercial buildings. Notable matters include acting as counsel to a joint venture of Fluor Canada Ltd. and JGC Constructors BC Ltd. in a successful application to stay claims seeking over $50 million on the LNG Canada project; acting for Acciona in litigation involving claims seeking over $1 billion on the Northshore Wastewater Treatment Plant; and counsel to a joint venture design-builder in an ADRIC arbitration involving claims seeking over $350 million for alleged design errors and delays on a major PPP LRT project. He has appeared before courts and arbitration tribunals across British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Zach holds a J.D. from the University of Victoria (2016) and a B.A. from the University of Calgary (2013).

He was recognized in On-Site Magazine's Top 40 Under 40 in Canadian Construction (2023) and is listed in The Best Lawyers in Canada – Ones to Watch for Construction Law. He is Chair of the Board of Directors of the MitoCanada Foundation.
