Charlene Byrne

Charlene Byrne is an Associate in the Corporate group in Dentons' Toronto office. Her practice focuses on Mergers and Acquisitions, with a broad corporate and commercial practice covering securities, M&A and corporate finance.

Charlene joined Dentons as a summer student in 2022 and articled with the firm from 2024–2025. Prior to joining Dentons, she worked as a law clerk for a publicly traded mining company.

Her experience includes advising Canaccord Genuity Group Inc. as lead agent and sole bookrunner in connection with PesoRama Inc.'s marketed public offering of senior unsecured convertible debentures; advising Vector Science and Therapeutics Inc. in connection with its reverse takeover of OpenSesame Acquisition Corp. and concurrent subscription receipt offering, culminating in its listing on the TSX Venture Exchange; and advising Surge Battery Metals Inc. in the formation of its joint venture with Evolution Mining Limited for the purpose of continuing the development of the Nevada North Lithium Project.

She holds a JD from the University of Western Ontario (2024) and a BA (Honours) from Ontario Tech University (2009). She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
