Ahad Ahmed

Ahad Ahmed is a Senior Associate in the Corporate group in Dentons’ Toronto office, focusing on Mergers and Acquisitions. His practice also covers joint venture formation, private equity, corporate finance and commercial matters, with significant experience in domestic and cross-border M&A, reorganisation, restructuring and financing transactions.

He has acted for domestic and foreign buyers and sellers, private equity funds, family offices and special purpose vehicles on all aspects of public and private M&A transactions, including plans of arrangement, business combinations and negotiated acquisitions. He also represents issuers, underwriters and investors in debt and equity public offerings, investments, private placements and alternative forms of financing.

His representative experience includes advising Groupe Lactalis on its pending acquisition of Agropur’s fine cheese division, Motorola Solutions on its acquisition of HyperYou, Inc., and Rail on its US$200 million acquisition by Ripple Labs. He regularly acts for clients in life sciences, mining, cryptocurrencies, blockchain, healthcare, infrastructure, technology, transportation, food & beverage and manufacturing.

Ahad holds a JD from Western University (2015) and a BA from the University of Toronto (2010). He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association and the South Asian Bar Association.
