He has advised on significant transactions, including acting as counsel to CITIC Metal in its CA$723 million subscription for 19.5% of Ivanhoe Mines, advising a shareholder group in seeking competing bids in a hostile takeover bid for a TSX-listed iron ore producer, and acting as Canadian counsel to a consortium of Tokyo Electric Power Company, Toshiba Corporation and Japan Bank for International Cooperation in a CA$270 million private placement. He has also worked on a range of renewable and clean tech matters, including wind, solar and hydro projects. Greg is a director and Canadian Chair of the Canadian Australian Chamber of Commerce and regularly speaks at conferences and writes on securities, mining and energy matters.
