Thomas H. Redekopp

Thomas H. Redekopp is a Partner and the national Corporate group leader at Dentons Canada, specialising in Mergers and Acquisitions. His practice focuses on public and private US mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions, advising boards of directors, special committees and transaction committees on structuring M&A and managing conflicts of interest.

Tom has represented companies across technology, life sciences, utilities, renewable energy, food and beverage, and construction sectors. Notable transactions include representing Hamilton Thorne, Ltd. in its CA$388 million going-private transaction involving Astorg and the simultaneous acquisition of Cook Medical's reproductive health business, representing Motorola Solutions, Inc. in its acquisition of Barrett Communications, and advising Blackboard Inc. on its US$1.64 billion sale to Providence Equity Partners. He has also advised Unitil Corporation on multiple acquisitions and capital markets transactions.

Tom holds an LL.B. from the University of Toronto (1999) and a B.App.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo (1996). He is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is a foreign legal consultant in Ontario.

He is recognised by Chambers USA for Corporate/M&A, IFLR 1000 Canada for M&A, and has been named a top-rated mergers and acquisitions attorney by Massachusetts Super Lawyers.
