Andreas Kloppenborg

Andreas Kloppenborg is a Partner in the Corporate and Mergers and Acquisitions groups and the Toronto leader of the Securities and Corporate Finance group at Dentons Canada. His practice focuses on advising issuers and investment dealers on debt and equity offerings, with significant experience in corporate governance, public company disclosure obligations, and securities regulatory compliance matters.

He has worked with clients across a variety of industries including energy, technology, and professional sports. Notable transactions include advising Hamilton Thorne on its sale to Astorg, Energy Fuels on its acquisition of Base Resources, Gage Growth on its sale to TerrAscend, and the Premier Hockey Federation on its sale to The Mark Walter Group and Billie Jean King Enterprises to form the Professional Women's Hockey League. He also advised on IPOs, equity offerings, and bond offerings for clients including Parkland Fuel, Stantec, Capital Power, Greenlane Holdings, and Curaleaf Holdings.

Andreas holds a J.D. from the University of Western Ontario (2015), where he was on the Dean's List and received the Law Society of Upper Canada Award for Outstanding Achievement in Legal Studies, and a B.A. (Hons) in International Relations from the University of Toronto (2011). He has been recognized by Chambers Canada in Cannabis Law, The Legal 500 Canada, The Best Lawyers in Canada, and IFLR 1000 Canada in M&A.
