Jenny Xinyi Wang

Jenny Xinyi Wang is a Senior Associate at Dentons, practicing in the Employment and Labour and Intellectual Property and Technology practice groups, specializing in Employment Law. She advises clients on a broad range of employment and labour matters, including employment litigation (wrongful dismissal and constructive dismissal claims), human rights complaints, and union grievances.

Jenny has provided strategic guidance to employers on matters such as terminations, restrictive covenants, workplace investigations, and occupational health and safety compliance. She has contributed extensively to legal publications on employment law topics, including the interplay between employee privacy and workplace safety, copyrightability of works created using generative AI, and the enforceability of restrictive covenants in Alberta. She also has experience in the trademarks process and accompanying litigation.

She holds a J.D. from the University of Alberta (2020) and a Bachelor of Commerce with distinction from the University of Alberta (2015). She is admitted to practice in Alberta and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and the Canadian Bar Association.
