Salim Visram

Salim Visram is a Senior Associate in the Employment & Labour group at Dentons Vancouver, specializing in Employment Law. He advises clients on employment contracts and policies, discipline and termination, human rights and workplace accommodations, pension and administrative law, as well as labour relations and occupational health and safety.

Salim provides reasoned, strategic legal advice tailored to each client's needs, seeking to gain a thorough understanding of their objectives before offering thoughtful, well‑researched guidance. If litigation is required, he ardently advocates for the rights of his clients. He has experience advising employers across a wide range of industries, including on employment standards compliance, workplace investigations, and dispute resolution. He is also knowledgeable about recent developments in British Columbia employment law, including protections for gig workers and updates to the Employment Standards Act.

Salim holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Windsor (2017), where he was awarded Top Graduate in Labour and Employment Law, and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm) from the University of British Columbia (2014). He was admitted to the Law Society of British Columbia in 2021 and the Law Society of Ontario in 2018. During law school, he served as Chair of the Graduation Committee and volunteered with the Law Students' Legal Advice Program at UBC, providing legal services to low‑income clients in the Lower Mainland.
