Yin Cai

Yin Cai is a Senior Associate in the firm's Real Estate Law, Project Development, and Banking and Finance groups, based in the Toronto office. Her practice incorporates all areas of commercial real estate and infrastructure transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, and project financing. She represents large financial institutions, private lenders, and borrowers in commercial lending matters, assisting in structuring, negotiating, and preparing financial agreements and associated loan documentation and security.

Ms. Cai has advised Altea Active on a Design-Build project involving significant tenant improvements and build-out of an 89,000 square foot wellness club, LaSalle Investment Management on its CA$183 million acquisition of three industrial buildings, and The Bank of Nova Scotia as administrative agent on a CA$99 million construction facility for the development of Claridge Royale in Ottawa. She has also advised Royal Bank of Canada on construction facilities for retirement residences and Slate Asset Management on the acquisition and leaseback of the City of Ottawa Library.

Yin holds a J.D. from the University of Toronto (2017) and a BCom from McGill University (2013). She joined Dentons in 2016 as a summer student and completed her articling year with the Firm. She has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada - Ones to Watch in Banking and Finance Law and Real Estate Law.
