Allan A. Mass

Allan A. Mass is a Counsel in Dentons' Banking and Finance group in Montréal, practicing corporate and commercial law with a focus on corporate financing and mergers and acquisitions.

He represents clients in a wide variety of commercial transactions including loan syndications, secured and unsecured financings, securitizations, project financings, public-private partnerships, and mergers and acquisitions. Notable matters include advising the Government of Québec on the A-30 Highway Project, a major public-private partnership; advising a syndicate of lenders led by Royal Bank of Canada on credit facilities in the aggregate amount of CA$3.255 billion to Quebecor Inc. and Quebecor Media Inc.; advising Aéroports de Montréal on bank credit facilities and revenue bond issues; and acting for ABB Inc. on its bank credit facilities, securitization program, and construction and engineering contracts over a 25-year period.

Allan holds a B.A. (1968), a BCL (1971), and an LL.B. (1972) from McGill University, as well as an LL.M. from the Université de Montréal (1976). He also holds a B.F.A. from Concordia University (1994).

He was an adjunct professor at the Faculty of Law, McGill University from 1977 to 1991, and served as managing partner of the Montréal office from 1980 to 1983 and 2001 to 2004.
