Allison W. Buchanan

Allison W. Buchanan is Counsel in the firm's Employment and Labour group, based in the Toronto office. She has exceptional experience in all areas of employment law, including employee hiring and dismissals, employment standards, employment contracts and policies, human rights and accommodation, harassment and discrimination, employee benefit plans, and workplace safety and insurance matters.

Ms. Buchanan regularly advises and represents clients in employment-related litigation before Ontario courts and tribunals, including the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal. She has advised on the formation of a joint venture to acquire a clean energy solutions provider under CCAA proceedings.

Allison holds an LLB from the University of Kent (2013), where she received The Fairweather Prize for outstanding contribution to The Kent Law Clinic, and an Honors B.A. in Social Anthropology from Dalhousie University (2006).
