Camila Maldi

Camila Maldi is a Senior Associate in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Competition and Antitrust groups at Dentons, based in the Toronto office, practicing in Competition Law. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and arbitration, including shareholders oppression claims, class action defense, cartel defense, and complex commercial disputes, as well as competition, antitrust, and foreign direct investment matters.

Ms. Maldi previously practiced with one of the top three law firms in Brazil, conducting internal investigations for antitrust violations, defending clients before CADE, and bringing judicial review applications to Brazilian Federal Courts. She has provided Canadian competition law advice to Groupe Touchette Inc. on its acquisition of National Tire Distributors, acted as Canadian regulatory counsel to KPS Capital Partners on its US$3.45 billion acquisition of Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope, and acted for a large construction company and a multinational financial institution facing anticompetitive charges.

She holds an LL.B. from the University of São Paulo Law School (2016), a Licence en Droit from Université Jean Moulin – Lyon 3 (2016), and an LLM from McGill University (2018). She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Law Society of São Paulo/Brazil, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Council for the Americas.
