Douglas Pateman

Douglas Pateman is an Associate practising land use planning and municipal law, specialising in Real Estate Law. He has law degrees from the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy, and a degree in urban planning from the University of Waterloo.

Prior to law school, Doug worked for a municipality and later consulted on large construction and infrastructure projects across Ontario. He has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court, Small Claims Court, the American Federal 6th Circuit Court, and various boards and tribunals. He previously served as Chairman of Kitchener's Committee of Adjustment, where he heard and decided applications for minor variances and land severances.

Doug holds a J.D. from the University of Windsor and a J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy (2022), as well as a B.Env.St. (Hons) in Urban Planning from the University of Waterloo.
