Ethan Sinclair

Ethan Sinclair is a Partner in the Infrastructure and PPP group in Dentons' Ottawa office, advising clients on infrastructure, energy, and commercial, industrial and residential property development projects. He guides both private and public sector clients through every stage of complex transactions and contractual arrangements.

He has extensive experience with public infrastructure projects across Canada, including public-private partnership (P3) transactions and progressive project delivery models including alliances, IPD, progressive design-build and progressive construction management. He regularly advises on joint ventures, tendering and RFP processes, EPC and EPC management contracts, subcontract and supply agreements, service agreements, equipment leases and performance security. Notable matters include advising on major transit projects including light rail transit extensions totaling $4.66 billion, hospital redevelopments, courthouse facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, and energy projects including district energy systems, battery storage facilities, cogeneration plants and wind farm developments. His practice also includes mergers, acquisitions and divestitures involving energy-related assets, both within Canada and offshore on Canada's east coast.

Ethan holds a J.D. from Queen's University (2009) and a B.A. from McGill University (2005).
