Jean-Pierre Dépelteau

Jean-Pierre Dépelteau is a Counsel in Dentons' Construction and Infrastructure group in Montréal, with over 40 years of experience providing legal and strategic advice to public, semi‑public and private sector owners, contractors, and material and equipment suppliers.

He advises on the contract award process, compliance, governance, conflicts of interest and unfair advantages, and is well versed in risk assessments, drafting and negotiation of P3, EPC and EPCM arrangements, and all related engineering, supply, construction, operations and maintenance contracts. Notable matters include advising on the CA$3 billion Turcot Project, the public‑private partnership for Autoroute 30, and acting for Cartier Wind Energy Inc. on the drafting of contractual arrangements for a CA$1.1 billion project. He has also advised on the modernization of Montréal's university health centres, the restoration of the Jacques Cartier and Honoré‑Mercier Bridges, and the construction of the Grande Bibliothèque.

Jean-Pierre holds an LL.L. from the Université de Montréal (1969).
