Jenna Weinkauf

Jenna Weinkauf is a Partner in the Real Estate and Corporate groups at Dentons in Edmonton, specializing in Real Estate Law. Her practice encompasses all areas of commercial real estate law, including acquisitions and dispositions, planning and development, condominium and strata developments, commercial leasing, and infrastructure projects such as solar and wind farms.

Jenna advises on ownership matters including partnership, joint venture, shareholder, and co‑ownership agreements, and works extensively in the area of financial services for both lenders and borrowers, with a particular strength in real estate‑based financing. She has acted for vendors and purchasers including pension funds, REITs, and institutional investors in the acquisition and disposition of commercial projects such as office buildings, shopping centres, hotels, and industrial developments. She also advises on cannabis leasing for both publicly traded and privately owned cannabis retailers. Her experience includes a secondment to an international corporation out of their London and New York offices, providing valuable insight into the unique challenges faced by the business community.

She holds a J.D. with Distinction from the University of Alberta (2013) and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada – Ones to Watch in Real Estate Law and the Lexpert Special Edition in Infrastructure and M&A. She is President of Edmonton CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) and serves on the executive of the Canadian Bar Association's Commercial Property & Leasing North Section.
