Jessica Jakubowski

Jessica Jakubowski is a Senior Associate in Dentons' Real Estate group, based in Toronto. Her practice focuses on Real Estate Law, specialising in municipal, land use planning and development law, and expropriations.

Prior to joining Dentons, Jessica worked as a lawyer for the City of Toronto in the Planning and Administrative Tribunal division. While at the City, she was involved in various land use planning and development matters, including official plan, rezoning, severance and minor variance appeals, as well as expropriations. She has appeared before the Ontario Land Tribunal, the Toronto Local Appeal Body and the Licence Appeal Tribunal.

Jessica completed her articles at the Regional Municipality of Halton, the Town of Oakville and Halton's Regional Police Service. While in law school, she was a research associate with the Windsor Law Centre for Cities, providing legal research assistance to municipalities and other stakeholders working towards local climate mitigation action. She also served as President of Windsor's Municipal and Planning Law Association.

She holds a JD from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law, a JD from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, an MA and an HBA from the University of Toronto. She is recognised by Chambers Canada for Real Estate: Zoning/Land Use in Ontario.
