Josie Sabino

Josie Sabino is a Senior Law Clerk and Supervisor in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution department at Dentons in Toronto. She has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation, including civil matters (insurance, occupiers' liability, and personal injury) and complex commercial litigation (directors' and officers' liability, shareholder disputes, and securities litigation).

Her involvement in these matters includes analyzing and summarizing documentary evidence, gathering and producing client documents, summarizing discovery evidence, and assisting with the preparation of mediation memorandums and pre-trial conference memorandums. She also has experience with trial preparation, including locating witnesses, preparing trial briefs, and preparing notices under the Evidence Act.

She has experience in eDiscovery, including processing, analyzing, and reviewing electronically stored information, as well as assisting lawyers and clients with the collection process. In addition to her law clerk duties, she supervises the litigation law clerks and is an integral part of operational initiatives within the LDR department, dealing with work distribution, resource planning, and delivering leadership to law clerks for professional development. She is also involved in identifying and implementing tools to streamline practices and collaborating on design and training for new systems.

Prior to joining Dentons, she was a senior law clerk at a large national law firm in Toronto. She holds a Law Clerk Diploma from George Brown College (1997) and is a member of the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario and the International Practice Management Association.
