Kyle Isherwood

Kyle Isherwood is a Partner in the Employment and Labour group at Dentons, based in Toronto. His practice focuses on Employment Law, advising Canadian and international companies on all areas of employment and labour matters.

Kyle's practice includes employee hiring, employment standards, termination and wrongful dismissal, restrictive covenants, human rights obligations and privacy law. He also advises employers regarding termination and layoff strategy, as well as commencing and defending employment-related litigation and human rights complaints.

Kyle also brings experience on various matters relating to securities law, including public offerings, private placements, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and other general corporate matters. His recent experience includes advising Motorola Solutions, Inc. in connection with its acquisition of Barrett Communications, and advising Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. in connection with its acquisition of Nova Scotia-based video game developer HB Studios Multimedia Limited.

He holds a JD from the Schulich School of Law, Dalhousie University, and a BA from the University of British Columbia, and completed an exchange at China University of Political Science and Law. He is recognised by The Best Lawyers in Canada – Ones to Watch for Labour and Employment Law, and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association and the Calgary Bar Society.
