Marie-Andrée Thibault

Marie-Andrée Thibault is a Partner at Dentons in Montréal, serving as the local Practice Group Lead for the Real Estate group, specializing in Real Estate Law. She has over 17 years of experience in commercial real estate, encompassing acquisition and sale transactions, real estate financing, development, joint ventures, and commercial leasing.

Marie-Andrée represents real estate developers, universities, private investors, public bodies, and financial institutions. Notable matters include advising on the acquisition of a 50% interest in one of Montréal's most prestigious office buildings; advising a major developer on condo projects with financing totalling over $500 million; advising a real estate portfolio owner on the acquisition of two residential towers for $105 million; representing a financial institution in long‑term financing totalling over $150 million for senior residences; and representing a buyer in the acquisition of a 90% interest in a student housing complex. She also advises on energy sector projects including wind power and hydroelectric dams. She is a board member of the Fondation immobilière de Montréal pour les jeunes (FIMJ).
