Ashley Blais Méndez

Ashley Blais Méndez is an Associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group in Dentons' Edmonton office, focusing on commercial litigation and asset recovery matters.

She advises on contractual claims, corporate litigation for matrimonial property disputes, corporate fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, shareholder disputes, and general commercial litigation. She has experience in Anton Piller Orders (evidence preservation), Norwich Orders (third-party disclosure) and Mareva Injunctions (asset freezing). She has appeared before the Court of Appeal of Alberta and the Court of King's Bench of Alberta. Prior to joining Dentons, she practised law in Mexico, where she advised international clients on the acquisition and development of mining projects and permits, and represented clients in state and federal courts.

Ashley holds an LL.M. in Canadian Common Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University (2023) and a Bachelor of Laws from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education in Mexico (2017). She is licensed to practice Federal and State Law in Mexico and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta.
