Bob Tarantino

Bob Tarantino is a Counsel in Dentons' Toronto office, focusing on entertainment law and intellectual property, with an emphasis on complicated music and film and television catalogue transactions and the production of content involving intricate interplays between rights and potential liabilities.

He advises clients at every stage of the creative process, from ideation and development to delivery and exploitation. He has represented film and television producers on Errors and Omissions clearance matters, advised on the production of the Saw franchise and Resident Evil co-productions, and acted for independents on high-profile music publishing and rights acquisitions. He also serves as Canadian counsel to SoundExchange, Inc. in its acquisition of the Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency Limited.

Bob holds an LL.B., LL.M. and PhD from Osgoode Hall Law School, and a BCL from the University of Oxford. He is the co-author of Canadian Film & Television Business & Legal Practice (Thomson Reuters).
