Changhai Zhu

Changhai Zhu is a Senior Associate at Dentons in Calgary, practicing in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group, specializing in Dispute Resolution. His practice covers commercial real estate, shareholder disputes, and general commercial contract disputes across multiple jurisdictions and at both provincial and superior levels of court.

Changhai has successfully advocated for clients in significant matters, including successful litigation of oppression, breach of duty of good faith, wrongful dismissal, and director liability claims resulting in damages in excess of $1 million (Haack v Secure Energy (Drilling Services) Inc); recovering full indemnity costs of litigation for protracted proceedings lasting more than 10 years (Haack v Secure Energy (Drilling Services) Inc); and drafting an Appeal Factum before the Alberta Court of Appeal regarding the constitutionality of a municipal bylaw.

He holds a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School (2020), an M.Sc. from Queen's University (2015), and a BScH from Queen's University (2012).
