Sophie R. Lorefice

Sophie R. Lorefice is a Senior Associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group at Dentons' Calgary office, specialising in Dispute Resolution. Her practice includes commercial and general civil litigation, contract disputes, construction, insurance, estates, commercial real estate and class actions.

Sophie takes a client-centered approach, working diligently to solve clients' legal problems and achieve their goals. She has contributed to publications on judicial decisions of interest to energy lawyers and on Indigenous consultation and resource development in Canada.

Sophie holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary (2020), a Master of Arts in Public Policy and Public Administration from Concordia University (2013), and a First Class Honours Degree in Political Science and Philosophy from St. Francis Xavier University (2010). She also completed a Diploma in Scandinavian Area Studies at the University of Southern Denmark (2008).

Sophie volunteers with Pro Bono Law Civil Claims Duty Counsel Project at the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Court Assistance Program (AMICUS) at the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta. She is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association and the Calgary Bar Association.
