Colleen Hoey

Colleen Hoey is Counsel in the Employment and Labour group in Dentons' Ottawa office, specialising in Employment Law. She advises clients on a wide range of complex employment and labour matters, including in the context of business transactions and reorganisations, and regularly represents employers in connection with wrongful dismissal, human rights and harassment complaints.

Colleen assists clients in protecting and operating their businesses by reviewing and negotiating employment contracts, severance packages and workplace policies. She coordinates Dentons' monthly national employment law webinar series, delivering timely and practical guidance to clients and industry partners on evolving workplace matters. She also serves as Dentons' Pro Bono Lead for Canada and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Ottawa Network for Education.

Colleen holds an LL.B. and B.C.L. from McGill University (2004), an M.A. in International Affairs from Carleton University (1999), and a B.A. from the University of Guelph (1995).
