Stephanie V. Lewis

Stephanie V. Lewis is a bilingual Employment Law Counsel and Workplace Investigator at Dentons in Ottawa. She advises employers on every aspect of the employment relationship from hiring to conclusion, including workplace management issues, complicated accommodation arrangements, and workforce performance management.

In addition to advising Ontario employers, she has particular expertise in assisting federally-regulated employers, including representation as a litigator in wrongful dismissal matters before the Canada Industrial Relations Board and human rights matters pursuant to the Canadian Human Rights Act. She is co-chair of Dentons' National Workplace Investigations practice group and regularly acts as an independent investigator in workplace harassment and discrimination investigations for employers of all types and sizes, including government institutions and a broad cross section of businesses and industries. Her background in journalism is used to maximum effect when interviewing parties and witnesses in the course of workplace investigations.

She co-chairs the County of Carleton Law Association's annual Six Minute Employment Lawyer program and the Ottawa Legal Profession and Mental Health program. She is recognized by The Best Lawyers in Canada for Labour and Employment Law and is a Thomson Reuters Standout Lawyer. She holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University (2003) and a law degree, cum laude, from the University of Ottawa (2008).
