Dennis L. Picco, KC

Dennis L. Picco, KC is a Partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group at Dentons, specialising in Dispute Resolution. His practice focuses on contract disputes, construction, risk management and insurance, representing companies in the construction industry, including architects and engineers in professional liability disputes, and advising clients in intellectual property, commercial and contractual disputes.

Dennis has acted as counsel in complex arbitration proceedings involving claims exceeding CA$350 million related to design errors and delays on a Canadian P3 light rail project, and has represented large global construction companies and engineering firms in arbitration proceedings regarding the design and construction of large infrastructure projects. He also serves as an experienced arbitrator, handling construction, shareholder and contract disputes, and utilises his litigation, arbitral and ADR experience to provide strategic advice and solutions.

Dennis holds a BComm and an LL.B. from the University of Alberta (1986).

He was appointed King's Counsel in 2012 and is recognised by Chambers Canada, The Legal 500 Canada and The Best Lawyers in Canada across multiple practice areas including Construction Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Corporate and Commercial Litigation and Insurance Law.
