John Cusano

John Cusano is the Office Managing Partner of Dentons Canada's Calgary office and a member of the National Management Committee, practicing in the firm's Energy Law group. He has extensive experience in energy regulatory matters, including natural gas liquids, facility applications, processing service agreements, pipeline agreements, and cost of service issues, and has appeared before the Alberta Energy Regulator, Alberta Utilities Commission, Canada Energy Regulator, and the Surface Rights Board.

Mr. Cusano also maintains a large practice in the financial services sector, specializing in retail and commercial matters, defending financial institutions against fraud, breach of contract, negligence, and other litigation matters. He has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta and has extensive experience in mediation and commercial arbitration.

John holds an LLB from the University of Alberta (2000) and a BA from the University of Calgary (1992).
