Karen Gardiner

Karen Gardiner is a Senior Associate in Dentons' Vancouver office and a member of the Corporate practice group, focusing on corporate governance, public and private M&A, corporate and commercial agreements, partnerships, and project development across a range of industry sectors including entertainment, cannabis, infrastructure, mining, oil and gas, and transportation.

She has advised on a wide range of significant transactions, including Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. on the separation of its traditional studios business from Starz Entertainment and the launch of Lionsgate Studios Corp. on NASDAQ, advising Ondine Biomedical Inc. on its IPO on the London Stock Exchange's AIM, and representing a global mining company on a US$430 million sale of its mining project. She also has experience in-house at a large wine company advising on production, supply, regulatory and export matters, and has advised on project development matters for a proposed mine and infrastructure project, LNG processing facilities, and logistics and transport agreements.

Karen holds an LL.B. with honours from the University of Adelaide, completed her NCA qualifications at the University of British Columbia, Allard School of Law, and holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Victoria. She is admitted to practice in British Columbia and Australia.
