Kate Stevens

Kate Stevens is a Partner at Dentons, practicing in the Corporate, Securities & Corporate Finance, and Mergers & Acquisitions groups, specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions. She represents public and private companies in financings, M&A, recapitalizations, and complex corporate reorganizations.

Kate has significant experience advising on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and continuous disclosure. Notable matters include advising Capital Power Corporation on multiple public offerings, including a CA$600 million medium term note offering, a CA$517 million bought deal public offering of common shares, and an aggregate US$1.2 billion private offering by its wholly‑owned subsidiary. She also advised Brookfield Renewable Partners on a CA$300 million investment in Entropy Inc. and IMM Investment Global on a CA$125 million Series A financing of Lithion Recycling Inc. Her practice spans energy, technology, and infrastructure sectors, and she is known for leveraging legal technologies and project management tools to drive efficiency and value for clients.

Kate holds a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School (2012) and an Honours B.A. from the University of Guelph (2009). She is admitted to practice in Alberta.
