Lucas A. Tomei

Lucas A. Tomei is a Partner and Corporate Co-Leader in Dentons' Calgary office, specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions. He practices corporate and securities law with a focus on corporate finance, M&A transactions, business reorganizations, and securities regulatory matters.

Lucas has advised on numerous significant public and private financings and M&A transactions. Notable matters include advising a syndicate on a CA$336 million offering of fixed-rate senior secured bonds supporting a CA$736 million investment by 36 First Nations in Enbridge Inc.'s Westcoast natural gas pipeline system—awarded Canadian Law Awards Capital Markets Deal of the Year 2026; advising Enbridge Inc. on a CA$2.75 billion cross-border at-the-market equity issuance program; advising Keyera Corp. on its CA$494 million offering of common shares; advising Parkland Fuel Corporation on its CA$500 million high yield notes offering and CA$600 million bought deal private placement; and advising Geo-Jade Petroleum Corporation on its CA$725 million acquisition of Bankers Petroleum Ltd. He also advises entrepreneurs and emerging growth companies on organizational matters and private investment.

Lucas holds an LL.B from the University of British Columbia (2006) and a BSc in Cellular Biology from the University of Calgary (2003). He was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2007.
