Martin Trutina

Martin Trutina is a Partner at Dentons, practicing in the Real Estate and Development group, specializing in Real Estate Law. He focuses on joint venture structuring, acquisition, sale, leasing, financing, and development of condominium projects, including high‑rise residential, mixed‑use, phased, bare land, retail, office, and industrial condominiums.

Martin represents one of Calgary's most prominent development companies on their multi‑faceted, multi‑million‑dollar projects combining residential, commercial, and retail space. He also acts for lenders and borrowers in all phases of acquisition, development, and construction loans. His practical perspective is shaped by years of experience working at his family's home building and land development business, offering a nuanced understanding of residential and commercial development.

He holds an LL.M (CL) from the University of British Columbia (2016), an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Kent (2015), and a B.Comm in Finance from the University of Calgary (2012). He was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2005.
