Sonia Kalburgi

Sonia Kalburgi is an Associate in Dentons' Real Estate group in Calgary. Her practice focuses on Real Estate Law, involving all aspects of commercial real estate, including acquisitions and dispositions, commercial development, financing and leasing.

Sonia also advises on a wide range of general corporate commercial matters, including asset and share purchase and sale transactions, corporate reorganizations and corporate governance. In addition, she supports Calgary's Trusts, Estates and Wealth Preservation group, providing estate planning advice to high and ultra-high net worth families in the area.

Her recent experience includes providing due diligence analysis for the acquisition of development land in North East Calgary, advising on the acquisition of three seniors residences in and around the Calgary area, and advising on the sale of several hotels and other business assets in the Canmore and Lake Louise areas.

Prior to completing her JD at the University of Calgary, Sonia obtained her Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Saskatchewan, majoring in finance. She holds a JD from the University of Calgary Faculty of Law and a B.Comm. from the Edwards School of Business, University of Saskatchewan.
