Mark Ricketts

Mark Ricketts is a Partner in Dentons' nationally recognized Banking and Finance and Real Estate groups, based in Calgary. He focuses on secured financing transactions with particular emphasis on real property secured financing, including construction financing, term financing (conventional and bridge), and CMHC financing for fee simple, leasehold and subleasehold estates.

He regularly advises financial institutions and borrowers on complex matters, including syndicated lending and "club deal" transactions with domestic and cross-border entities. In his real estate practice, he provides practical counsel to developers, asset management entities, purchasers, vendors, landlords, tenants and brokers on purchases, sales, leasing and other real property-related transactions, with notable expertise in large-scale mixed-use development projects and strata lot subdivisions. Notable matters include advising Royal Bank of Canada on a CA$72 million construction facility for the purchase of a Class A office tower and advising one of Canada's largest agricultural entities on an asset disposition in excess of CA$100 million.

Mark holds a J.D. from the University of Calgary (2013) and a B.Sc. from the University of Victoria (2007).
