Richard Clark

Richard Clark is an Associate in the Corporate group in Dentons’ Edmonton office, focusing on Corporate Law. His practice focuses on corporate structuring, commercial transactions and regulatory compliance.

Richard assists clients with a variety of corporate and commercial matters, including incorporations, partnership and shareholder agreements, commercial leases, employment agreements, and purchase and sale transactions. His developing practice also includes banking and financing matters, securities matters and M&A transactions.

Prior to joining Dentons, he practised corporate and commercial law at an Edmonton-based law firm. Before entering the legal profession, he ran a technology company in Edmonton’s startup community, providing him with practical insight into the challenges faced by founders and business owners.

In addition to his legal practice, Richard serves as a sessional instructor at the University of Alberta, where he teaches Business Law 201, and previously served as a Writing Fellow at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law. He holds a JD from the University of Alberta (2023) and a Bachelor of Commerce from MacEwan University (2020).
