Solomon Ezike

Solomon Ezike is an Associate in the Corporate Group in Dentons' Toronto office. His practice focuses on Corporate Law, spanning a broad range of corporate, commercial and regulatory matters.

His practice includes project finance, mergers and acquisitions, and international investment and trade law. He advises clients on structuring, negotiating and closing complex transactions and projects, and has experience in international arbitration and resolution of cross-border investment and trade disputes.

Solomon previously worked as a legal consultant with the World Bank in Washington, D.C., where he provided strategic, risk-based advice on a wide range of resource mobilization and innovative finance mechanisms. He also worked with binational panels established under the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement at both the Canadian and US Trade Agreement Secretariats. Most recently, he worked as Manager of Legislative Planning with the Ministry of Affordability and Utilities of the Government of Alberta. Earlier in his career, he practised at a top-tier law firm in Nigeria.

With experience spanning international organizations, government and private practice, Solomon provides clients with nuanced, balanced and pragmatic legal advice.

He holds an LLM from American University Washington College of Law (2021), a BL from the Nigerian Law School (2011) and an LLB from the University of Calabar (2010). He is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Toronto Lawyers Association and the Nigerian Bar Association. He was recognised in the ESQ 40-Under-40 Nigerian Rising Star Legal Awards (2021) and as a Notable Lawyer in The Legal 500: EMEA Rankings (2021).
