Véronique Bélair

Véronique Bélair is a Senior Associate in the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution group, based in the Montréal office. She works on a variety of litigation files pertaining to the law of contracts, administrative law, and public law.

Ms. Bélair has advised the Montréal Port Authority on securing CA$1.16 billion in financing from the Canada Infrastructure Bank to support the Contrecœur container terminal expansion project, a major infrastructure project that will deliver a new container terminal capable of handling 1.15 million TEUs by 2030. She has also advised on the sale of a client to Walter Capital Partners. Prior to joining Dentons, she worked for over two years as a law clerk at the Québec Court of Appeal, conducting research and assisting judges in various areas of law.

Véronique holds an LLB from the Université de Montréal (2018), where she was named to the Dean's List and received the BCF Prize and the DAVIES Prize, and an LLM in public law from the London School of Economics and Political Science (2022). During her studies, she was involved with McGill's National Student Pro Bono Network and the Legal Information Clinic.
