Mathieu Huot

Mathieu Huot is a Partner in Dentons' Litigation and Dispute Resolution group, specialising in Dispute Resolution. His practice primarily focuses on construction litigation, corporate litigation, and general commercial litigation, representing public and private entities, as well as general and specialized contractors before Québec courts, including the Québec Court of Appeal.

Mathieu has developed expertise in handling complex, large-scale cases and is regularly called upon to plead before various Québec courts, including the Québec Court of Appeal, and in private arbitration proceedings. He has successfully represented clients in significant disputes, including advising Plan A in a major dispute arising from the construction of three rental complexes valued at $30–50 million, advising the Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM) in multiple disputes with the private partner on the PPP hospital complex, and successfully representing Magil Construction in a damages claim concerning the Crystal de la Montagne condo-hotel building in downtown Montréal.

Mathieu holds an LL.B. from the Université de Sherbrooke (2008). He is a member of the Québec Bar, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Young Bar Association of Montreal.
