Ali Amadee

Ali Amadee is a Partner in Dentons Canada's Montréal office, practicing in the firm's Corporate Law and Commercial practice. He focuses on corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, venture capital, and technology and emerging growth companies, with particular activity in the energy transition field and heads Dentons Canada's national practice group focused on lithium-ion batteries and battery storage.

Mr. Amadee has acted for buyers and sellers in various M&A deals across multiple sectors, been involved in numerous infrastructure transactions and financings (including public-private partnerships), and regularly represents tech and emerging growth companies or investors in financing and investment transactions. He has advised the Montréal Port Authority on securing CA$1.16 billion in financing from the Canada Infrastructure Bank for the Contrecœur container terminal expansion project, Enovum Data Centers on its sale to Bit Digital for approximately CA$62.8 million, and major financial institutions on construction and term financing for hydroelectric projects.

He holds an LLM from Wuhan University (2012), an LLM from McGill University's Institute of Air & Space Law (2009), an LLB/JD from the University of Montréal (2007), and studied at Université Catholique de Louvain (2005). He is called to the bars of Québec and the State of New York, and is fluent in English, French, and Persian, with conversational Mandarin.
