Rob (Robert) R. Roth

Rob Roth is National Partner, Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel for Dentons Canada, and a member of the National Management Committee, advising the Canada Region CEO and Board on a range of matters and leading the Office of the General Counsel and Risk teams.

He has over 30 years of experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, project development (including P3s), corporate finance, corporate structuring and governance, and commercial transactions across the energy, power, utility, construction, forestry, transportation, agricultural and financial sectors. Notable transactions include advising Rexall Health on its CA$3 billion sale to McKesson Corporation, Matrikon Inc. on its US$139 million acquisition by Honeywell International, CN on the sale of non-core rail lines and assets, and advising EPCOR on the CA$100 million acquisition of the Gold Bar Wastewater Treatment Plant and its public‑private partnership for the Evan‑Thomas Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment Facility.

Rob holds an LL.B (Hons) and a B.Comm from the University of Alberta, and an MBA from Dalhousie University. He was a Gold Medalist from the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta in 1991.
