Dominique Babin

Dominique Babin is a Partner in the Corporate group in Dentons' Montréal office, practicing in Corporate Law. With more than 25 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate commercial law, international trade, and public procurement, she advises clients operating in highly regulated and strategically sensitive sectors, including defence, advanced manufacturing, life sciences, and information technology.

Ms. Babin has a strong track record helping Canadian and foreign companies, global investors, and strategic buyers structure, expand, and secure their North American operations. Her experience includes several years as senior in-house counsel with a major US defence contractor, where she led legal and commercial support for significant naval and simulation programs in Canada, the UK, and the Asia-Pacific region, including the Queen Elizabeth-Class Aircraft Carrier Program and the Astute-Class Submarine Program. She has advised on acquisitions, commercial negotiations, supply chain risk management, and export controls.

She holds an LLM (Comparative Law) from McGill University (2000) and an LLB from Université Laval (1996). She is a member of the Québec and Ontario Bars and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada for Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, and International Trade, and in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory for Corporate Commercial Law.
