Derek W. Levinsky

Derek W. Levinsky is a Partner in Dentons' Corporate Law group and Insurance sector practice, based in the Toronto office. His work focuses on corporate and regulatory matters with a significant emphasis on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, assumption reinsurance transactions, and reinsurance security arrangements.

Mr. Levinsky has experience advising on complex, high-value cross-border transactions and structuring joint venture arrangements within the insurance sector. He has authored articles and led seminars on emerging topics in insurance law and has been recognized by The Legal 500 Canada in Corporate M&A and Insurance.

Derek holds a J.D., cum laude, from Western Michigan University (2010), an LLM from York University, Osgoode Hall Law School (2012), and a B.Comm. (Hons) from the University of Windsor (2007).
